You must be joking. Listen to yourself. Then imagine you’re one of the two billion people around the world who need to consumer more just to sustain themselves.

I agree. You are an eco-hypocrite. Energy efficiency is useing less like 20 amps. Most homes are 150 – 200. Phoneswont make a hill o beans difference. Stoip fooling around and get serious about green.

LOL are you serious? How about not following OBAMAS bogus energy regulations .. He plans on taxing and making CARBON DIOXIDE a pollutant .. The air we breathe out lol .. Well thats insane ..

    Carbon Credits Carbon Taxes ..

    Kinda sick ..

Get informed on that before you worry if your IPHONE or LG is eco-friendly lol

Change all the light bulbs in your house to CFL. With the money you save you’ll be able to buy ANY phone regardless of efficiency because you’ll have already done more for the environment than 95% of everyone else.

It’s good that you are becoming aware of energy efficiency, but as others have said a cel phones energy use is the smallest part of it’s impact on the earth. If you truly want to make a difference then changing your perspective can help. When I consider a purchase I look at function and durability before style, then I consider what and how it is made and finally what will happen to it when I’m finished. If you walked into my home I don’t think you would be able to see any difference compared to the conventional home. Part of being eco friendly to me is making long term purchases, I don’t buy something that I don’t like just because it is eco friendly. If a shirt or couch is ugly, but made out of sustainable products, I’m still not going to like looking at it every day and I will look forward to the day I can dispose of it. If I buy something that is beautiful and durable, but maybe isn’t made with the most sustainable products I will keep it longer and still use less resources. The same can apply to a phone, get one that can survive changes in style and technology that you won’t need to “upgrade” in a year or 2 and you will be doing more for the planet then getting one that uses 1 watt less per hour. Then make sure you recycle, not toss in the garbage the old phone. There are tons of charities that will use the phone to give to battered women or developing countries or if nothing else recycle all the toxic materials so they won’t end up in our water and land.
