Media Center displaying on multiple TV’s?

My goal, is to use my satellite TV, computer, and video game consoles seamlessly between two tvs in separate rooms.

Heres how everything is wired up.

I have the traditional satellite set up (coaxial cable into a set top box, outputting to my tv.)

My computer is connected to my TV via a DVI-HDMI cable. It currently runs boxee to display all of my movies and what not.

My video game consoles are connected to the back of the TV using component cables.

Now, heres the issue. The only way I have discovered to include EVERYTHING is to use component cables from the video out on my source tv, to the video in on my secondary tv.

It works, but its not very useful, as I have to keep the source tv on at all times. Not energy efficient at all.

So, is there anything you guys can think of that will work?
What I decided to do was buy a Terk Technologies Leapfrog LF-30S Wireless 2.4 GHz A/V Distribution
System.

It takes the source video, and relays it to my second tv. This allows me to use a remote in the other room as well.

  1. TV guy says:

You need video switches. One HDMI and one component.

  2. Robert Tanguay says:

It would almost be easier and cheaper to put the separate components in each room.
