The brightness of the bulb is bright and you would never know it was an led.

Wow, that is great news! The only reason we can even offer our 7 year warranty on these led tube bulbs is because of that external LED driver. Without that the bulb would just get too hot inside. Happy installing!
Love this bulb, I have been working with LED’s for a while now and this new technology with the external driver is a dream come true. We’ve had some problems with heat on the one piece bulb & driver, but now with the external driver that is totally eliminated. Also the installation is much easier with the direct connect plug connections. Simply connect the wires to the power supply coming into the fixture and plug the other end to the bulbs. Our retro-fit install took less than 3 minutes.
